Our Story
A taste inspired by an unforgettable place.
Ten years ago, my wife and I spent our honeymoon in Oia, on the island of Santorini, Greece.
One afternoon, we sat down for a simple meal overlooking the sea. I remember taking the first bite and thinking, “I've never tasted anything like this before. Why doesn't food like this exist where I live?”
But looking back, it wasn't just the food. It was the whitewashed streets, the blue domes, the warm afternoon air, the tablecloth, the serving dishes, and the feeling of being newly married with our whole lives ahead of us.
A decade later, I still can't get that experience out of my mind.
Oia was born from the desire to capture a little of what made that afternoon so unforgettable.
So much of the food we eat today is made to be eaten alone, in a hurry, or on the go. I wanted to create something different: food that's meant to be placed in the center of the table, shared with the people you love most, and worthy of life's best moments.
